Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life? -Mary Oliver

About Amy

I’m a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist providing therapy to individuals and couples in Portland, OR. My therapy style is warm, authentic, compassionate, and effective. I have a healthy sense of humor about life and I strive to bring this aspect of myself into my work.

Having an ongoing commitment to both my own therapeutic process and my professional development is very important to me. This knowledge and experience of the therapist-client relationship from both sides greatly enhances the richness of my work.

It is my goal to build a collaborative, creative relationship with you that encourages you to identify and engage your own inner wisdom and resilience to face life’s challenges. By supporting you to cultivate curiosity and compassion towards yourself and your experience, I hope to help you achieve the positive change and movement in your life that you seek.

In my years of work at Hospice working with people at the end of their lives, I learned so much about the importance of living a meaningful and fulfilling life. I feel so fortunate to live in a place that I love, doing the work that I am passionate about. As the poet Mary Oliver once wrote, “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life” My work is about helping you do just that.
